Daily blogging = Pfffffft!
- This weekend I sent my little darlings along to Purdue's Space Day, an all-day, fun-filled event. You may know that Neil Armstrong graduated from Purdue (as did Amelia Earhart, to give the woman her props). I just mention that because Space Day takes place in the Neil Armstrong Engineering Hall. Purdue has an outstanding engineering program and the the Space Day program is co-ordinated by the engineering department. An astronaut comes to talk to the students and the kids have non-stop cool hands-on activities. Best of all (for parents anyway), it's completely free.
Well, you would think that I had told my kids that they were scheduled to have their fingernails pulled out with a pair of rusty pliers. How blatantly unfair was it that I was making them go to something without even consulting them first?
Hmmm...where had I heard this reaction before? Oh yes! When I suggested that we go to the corn maze. And when I bought tickets to see Wicked. Guess who ended up having a great time at both those events? And guess who ended up having a great time at Purdue Space Day?
The moral of this particular story is that he who protests the loudest, ends up enjoying himself the most.
- I had asked Libby to hide my Lemonheads from me, but she did a far more thorough job than I had anticipated and now I don't know where they are! Would I be so cruel as to wake her up and ask her?
- This morning I went to Indianapolis to renew my green card, a surprisingly painless, albeit expensive, experience. I was in and out within one hour. If you've ever had dealing with the INS you know this is nothing short of a miracle.
- Have you tried the new Orville Redenbacher's Lime and Salt popcorn? It's so delicious, but still not as good as the Buttery Salt and Cracked Pepper popcorn.
- I like both these pictures of Francie in different ways. I promise I'm not as obsessed with my dogs as it appears. I was taking this photo yesterday, and Francie was demanding my attention.
- Speaking of which, I have been very diligent about updating my new blog every day with a photo (taken that day) but the same can't be said of my good-for-nothing sisters. Ahem!

I think Francie needs her own Facebook page. :)
I haven't had the lime and salt popcorn but I love the salt and pepper one and (especially) the buttery garlic one. So insanely good!
your dogs are so cute :)
I think you're less obsessed with your dog and more obsessed with the depth of field you're getting from your lens.
Your kids sound just like mine....and it's usually the "he" that protests the loudest in our house too.
Just this weekend we watched the first of a Discovery Channel series on NASA that's been in our DVR for like six months. Joey kept wanting to hear about Neil Armstrong. He wasn't interested in Buzz Aldrin, Jim Lovell, John Glenn, or any of the rest of them, just Neil.
I think you're less obsessed with your dog and more obsessed with the depth of field you're getting from your lens.
I think you are dead right!
When I get Sam a sibling and give that sibling a Facebook page, Sam will get his own page, too. :) Until then...
(Also, you realize that it's cute that your dog has a Facebook page. When I do it, it's weird and creepy. It's spinster-y.)
