Amen! Iceberg is the only kind of lettuce I like. Otherwise, its just like eating any old leaf off a tree.

Haha. I've never considered myself a lettuce snob, but I have to admit, I only eat the greener varieties & spinach.

I must admit that I have only bought Iceburg once (yesterday) in the last few years..but when I did it reminded me of this poem which I love.
Well I guess I must be a lettuce snob too :) As for spinach, I could eat about 5lbs daily! I love the poem though, and the commentary he makes on reading poetry that we don't have to pretend to enjoy.

Hah! I like iceberg lettuce as the crunch in sandwiches. In salads, I love love love spinach. I used to get a spinach salad nearly every day at the cafeteria. Now of course, we laid-off and closed the cafeteria, and now I eat take out and am fat and pasty.
Growing up I hated lettuce because of iceburg. I didn't (and still don't) like the flavor or lack-there-of.
It wasn't until just a few years ago that I tried romaine and was like "hey, this lettuce stuff isn't so bad after-all."
