Show us something you did, made, saw or bought this past weekend.
(Bought this one x2, one copy for my kids, one copy for my niece and nephews. We started reading it last night and LOVE it.)
(Haven't read this since I was a 17 year-old sitting on a flight to America with a six-month visa in hand!)
I also bought three more books that will be gifted to people who read this so I'll have to keep mum for now. Speaking of Keeping Mum, I also saw that this weekend and advise that you do the same. It's hilarious.
Libby (gleefully): I've got worms!
Me: WHAT??!!
Libby, indicating my glass measuring jug on the kitchen counter filled with soil: See! Four of them!
Libby brought home a piece of work from school containing the following recommendations:
These are ways to be safe in a classroom. First, do not put glue on you. Second, don't run in the classroom. Third, no rocking in your chair. Listen to the rules and you will be safe.
Do not put glue on you??? Is this a common cause of safety violations in the first grade classroom that I was unaware of? Why were we not taught to not pour glue up and down our arms? Think of the difficulties that could have been avoided.
Show us your hairstyles over the years.

Let's see.
First there was no hair worth speaking of.
Then it was really, really awful. Hideous. But I (almost) don't care who knows about it.
From about age 13 onwards it's looked like it does in this picture, which I took today. I'll say one thing, and that's that there is certainly no shortage of it.
Except for that one year when I looked like a boy - which I talk about here
Show us the best beach you have visited.
Submitted by Marko.
Oh, and just as a comparsion...here is an English beach in June or July vs. a Hawaiian beach in November.
I'm just saying.
Show us your passport photo...if you dare!
Submitted by Georgie-boy.Oh I dare! I dare alright! I da....okay, I don't dare.
It's just too awful. But you can see my green card photo instead. That's a fair compromise isn't it?
And, while digging around among our many family passports, both current and expired, I came across Libby's first US passport and the picture was too cute not to show. How any child could be recognizable from the tiny, little, falling-sideways blob depicted in her passport is beyond me, especially when you consider that she flew on that passport until she was five. (Her first English passport is kept in her toy box and makes a handy prop when playing World Traveler.)
Show us some fruits and/or veggies.
Before Friday I wouldn't have been able to show many photos of fruits or veggies. But then I let Libby loose in Kroger with my camera and....
(The rest of Libby's are on Flickr. At least the ones I downloaded yesterday. Seriously, that is spooky time for this Vox Hunt. Vox, have you been reading my diary again?)
Also, one of my own , which was part of dinner the other night -
