What's on your "To-Do" list today? What are you most looking forward to and what are you most dreading?
1. Go running/walk dogs -- done
2. Lift weights -- not done, but I deserve a day off, because...
3. Finish painting kitchen -- done
4. Begin to remedy kitchen floor situation -- half done. That is, started.
5. Take Jesse to batting cages -- done
6. Take some kind of computer disc to Geek Squad -- not done, will do tomorrow (My computer got a wicked bad virus and is currently getting fixed. In the meantime I had to buy a laptop which is what I'm using right now. Yay for new laptops!)
7. Read to Jesse -- done (We're reading Inkheart and it is fantastic. Trying to stop after each chapter is next to impossible. One or the other of us will say, "Oh, come on! We have to read just one more chapter!")
8. Read to Libby -- not done (yet) (We're reading Jeremy Fink and the Meaning of Life and it's not so awesome, for me at least, but Libby likes it).
9. Listen to Libby read to me -- a daily must-do for Libs in the summer hols
10. Bathe -- this is vital, especially before ...
11. Go to Nine Irish Brothers with Todd when he comes in from Philly
12. Finish reading Arthur and George (will no doubt happen at the same time as #10 )
13. Proof read Esther's dissertation -- not done but will happen, I PROMISE!
14. Submit application for scholarship -- not done and now too late; today was the deadline.
I've done other things today besides:
Went to the hardware store with my friend who is remodeling her kitchen to advise on things like cabinets and granite counter tops. I'm not sure I was much help but this particular friend is always good for a laugh. She has the best stories. We had lunch together yesterday and I had the BEST lamb kabob, the memory of which is making me want to run back to that Egyptian restaurant and order it again.
Droped off, and picked up, Libby for her summer playground program. Good times, good times.
Trip to the post office to mail birthday presents and baby gifts.
Took the kids to lunch at Chik-fil-A. Yum.
Browsed an animal rescue site while on the phone with Esther, discussing which Westie she is going to adopt. Makes me want to open my own animal shelter, I tell ya!
Talked to all three of Todd's sisters.
What's the best beauty advice you've ever received?
A few years ago, my good friend LeAnn told me, "Some days you just need false eyelashes to feel like a woman".
So true.
Which breed of dog is your favorite? Post a picture of it.

I suppose I'd better say Weimaraner since I have one. Despite her annoying puppy behaviour (chewing being the worst offense) she is my lovely little girl. She thinks everyone, people and dogs alike, want to be her best friend forever upon meeting her for the first time because, of course, that's exactly how she feels about them. She is completely non-aggressive to other dogs and never barks. She is trainable and eager to please and wants to do the right thing even when it requires just a little too much self-discipline.

What was your favorite road-trip of all time?
Submitted by bodhibound.
There was this one road trip that was the most awesome of all time!
I was the only driver in the car, so there was no one to take over from me when I got really tired, but it's all good because it was a test of endurance.
The car broke down and cost $1,927.27 to fix (plus $185.50 for towing, plus $259.92 for a rental car), but that's okay because I have been wanting to develop a menu that includes more Ramen noodles for some time, and this was the perfect impetus.
We needed to stop every two hours to let the puppy out for a pee, but it gave us a chance to see the wildlife in a much more personal way than the poor souls that were just whizzing past on their merry ways. For example, when you were a kid did you get to see your mother pull ticks out of the dog's ears with a pair of tweezers and flush them down the toilet?
We got to spend hours together cooped up in a small space where we were really able to bond.
Oh! We got to see the World's Largest Truckstop. I know! Say no more, right?
And the trip wasn't just fun for us. My father-in-law got to break his leg.
Good times, good times....

Two Truths and a Lie - what a great game. This question brings back memories of substitute teaching.
